I used to, ages ago. Don't really watch porn with live actors due to ethical concerns but going to have a number of nights by myself soon and sort of fancy something to read.

Anyone got any recs?

Literotica has been recommended on here a few times, and seems to get good reviews.

@Thisismysexforumname so I used to look at LitErotica but now it says the URL doesn't work 💁‍♀️

I'm not a fan of Literotica. I know it's all amateur stuff but a lot of it is badly and obviously written by men projecting their creepy fantasies and not aimed at women. I've yet to find any good erotic fiction online. I like the app Dipsea, but you have to pay to access most of the content.

PrivateMolecule0 · 02/07/2023 11:22

thanks for mentioning SoloTouch! 😮

Hollynotivy · 02/07/2023 15:12

Literotica has some awfully badly written stuff.
SoloTouch has some good episodes.
Has anyone found any audio erotica? Perhaps shorter stories?
I did try writing some short episodic events. Adding detailed description to scenes in known novels. Alternative encounters for Heyer heroines or the Bennet girls. A bit old to be sleeping together I thought!

I find everything written on Literotica terrible. There’s so much on Kindle Unlimited, quality varies though.

Perhaps give ‘Desire: 100 of Literature's Sexiest Stories’, a go. It’s a varied selection so there is plenty to choose from. Publisher's Synopsis: 100 of literature's sexiest stories, chosen by Mariella Frostrup and the Erotic Review. Strict mistresses, naughty maids, handsome gardeners and disarming strangers; literature is awash with love, sex and desire. This collection brings together 100 of the best examples, hand-picked by Mariella Frostrup and the Erotic Review. From romance and seduction to downright dirty deeds, here are prize-winners, bestsellers and rising stars, each of whom prove that when it comes to the bedroom, a little fiction goes a long way. So whether you're looking for love, lust or something in between, this gorgeous anthology is the perfect gift... or bedside companion. Reviews for Desire: 'A veritable Milk Tray of titillating tales' The Times'Frostrup has brought a fresh eye to amorous fiction' Telegraph 'The perfect bedside companion' Best Magazine

One thing I will recommend on Literotica is a poster called J256 who posts audio hypnosis… headphones in and make sure you’re alone!

Literotica is not all bad. Be selective so choose your categories and never start reading a story which scores under 4.0. I've found some decent stuff but, I do admit, some rubbish too.

Notreallygrumpy · 04/07/2023 17:54

Problem with Literotica for me is the huge amount of incest stories.I know I can avoid them but it’s a bit like going for a canalside walk but you know there will be dog sh*t everywhere.

MovingonfromMartin · 04/07/2023 20:32

I like Lushstories. As with all these sites, there are some areas that most folks would want to stay away from. I have found a particular set of stories that I like with many chapters and I stick to those!

FrenchButNot · 11/07/2023 16:11

The trouble with Literotica is that anyone can publish anything and there is zero quality control. If you want good erotic fiction you have to pay for it. I know one very good author but if I mention her name I'll get banned. Just go to Amazon UK and search for "Cynthia's Room". The stories sell for about three quid and I've read them all.

folk get banned for mentioning an author?
seems odd.
can you name dead authors?

FrenchButNot · 11/07/2023 16:56

I think you can proably name almost anyone but I know that particular author was banned from MN and I don't want to take the risk of being associated with her.

topcat2014 · 12/07/2023 21:55

Why don't you try writing something for literotica?

I did. It is quite a thrill..

FrenchButNot · 13/07/2023 03:15

I do write erotic and explicit sories but I wouldn't waste my efforts on literotica - I have an editor, a retired fiction editor from Virago who (brutally) ensures quality for my efforts and I publish on Amazon. My stories are for sale and they're hands in you're knickers good.
I can't advertise on here but if you want the link, DM me.

You’re welcome…. I visit it a lot

My phone blocks pretty much all these sites. Says they are not safe or have sent an invalid response.... :/

I quite enjoy a spot of erotic fiction. Have you ever tried the Chapters app? At times, it leans a bit towards the 'teen' side for my taste, but it's definitely worth a look. They've got a variety of sections, and if you're feeling creative, you can even pen and submit your own story.

ChangingMode · 16/08/2023 23:34

Doesn’t that author write about teens? 🤮

Saria776 · 17/08/2023 10:39

I read some every now and then

Pastryapronsucks · 17/08/2023 18:22

TMI warning

I have been getting in touch with my sexual side recently since starting HRT and testosterone. I was watching porn but it felt guilty because of the ethical issues surrounding exploitation. Plus visualy its so false and staged.

Then I found erotic literature. Much better no weird porn faces or hard round boobs. I can imagine realistic bodies . Much better if you are pleasuring yourself. In fact this week (dound a fanfare), I had my first proper explosive, trembling arms and legs, fuck I have pissed myself orgasm 😀

I agree that literotica varies in quality. You can tell some of the stories written by men. I am eager to try some of the other suggested sites.

pendleflyer · 18/08/2023 21:18

Can recommend this, and some of her other works.

apart from being filthy as *, also a very good writer with a good sense of place - her portrayals of brighton and hastings really ring true.

And heading north, the fact that she is from accrington* has forever changed my impressions of that place.

  • I owe this factoid to a brief email exchange where I congratulated her on her writing.
I'm not sure that she still writes in this genre, but she has quit a library.
