Naked at night?

With the warm nights of summer we have been sleeping naked again - which tbh we've always done quite a lot anyway. We love the skin to skin feel and it's one of the most wonderful things which I'd really miss if we didn't do. It's great for emotional closeness and not just for sex - although obviously handy for that too! Just curious how popular this is?

I always sleep naked when I stay at my bf’s house (on / off bf!). Largely as it’s still ‘honeymoon’ shagathon everytime I see him. I love snuggling up naked in the mornings, which inevitably always leads to more sex. But in a long term relationship I probably would wear something most of the time as I’m not a huge fan of naked sleeping, but I guess if my kids had grown up and moved out I might on these hot nights, but probably always keep my knickers on!

MaryJean87 · 25/06/2023 07:05

I always wear pjs in bed, I think it feels sweater without, plus I've got young kids that might come in. On very hot nights I might sleep with no top and just knickers.

Unless it's the depths of winter I get terrific RLS if I don't sleep naked. Unfortunately that also means I sleep alone.

But we do have sexual or non-sexual skin contact regularly and it is very nice.

acpk55 · 25/06/2023 07:57

Generally wear PJ shorts all year round, but have been naked recently

Anotherbloke1 · 25/06/2023 08:17

We both sleep naked all the time, nothing worse than what ever you wear getting twisted from writhing in your sleep. The only time my partner wears knickers is when it's that time of the month (or if I've pissed her off😁)

Choochoo22 · 25/06/2023 08:20

Yep we sleep naked every night- been together years, married and 3 kids, it would be odd if we slept in clothes now!

Hijinks75 · 25/06/2023 11:05

Slept naked for many years, DW pretty much always wears long pjs even in this weather

Gamerlady · 25/06/2023 12:15

I'd sleep naked if had no teenagers .. so stay in underwear

HowManyTimesHaveIToldYou · 25/06/2023 12:37

We always sleep naked. Been together 26 years.

justmyskin1952 · 25/06/2023 18:27

Sleeping naked is the best. Even our kids sleep naked no problem here. We can keep the air conditioner off or at least not have it on much. Enjoy the air on your skin.

Chellybelle · 25/06/2023 21:14

Wife and I always sleep nude.

Wherearemymarbles · 25/06/2023 22:25

god was a boy when i last regularly slept with anything on.

tryingtogoveggyagain · 26/06/2023 07:16

Great to hear we're not the only ones!
I should add we've been together for nearly thirty years and still love a naked snuggle when sleeping. Like I say it doesn't necessarily always lead to sex but the bare skin on skin bonding is lovely. We do have pj's at the back of a drawer for super-cold winter nights but they're not often called upon!

I can only sleep with a cotton top on. Loose or baggy. Pants optional 8n this heat.

Rarely share bed when at BF's and sleep on fold down foam sofa with double mattress on top in his living room.
We'd get too hot and his actual bed is large single with a support for his disablities.
He's also hyperhidrosis (exceptional sweating) and can't wear anything bottom half or groin will be soaking by morning.
He wears t-shirts in winter but will be nude on a folded sheet all this summer at his place, if it's hot as last year.
He's just got two new fans for bedroom and living room - both going 24-7 at moment.

AverageGuy · 26/06/2023 15:32

I've slept naked since a teenager... Unless I'm in a hotel, or somone else's house...

LittleBoPeep72 · 26/06/2023 18:29

I usually wear a negligee (the nice silky smooth ones or a cotton one) but pull the straps down to sleep as they pull on my shoulders a bit.

When I was seriously menopausal, I’d sleep naked - in the depths of winter - with the bedroom window wide open. If I could’ve slept in the garden I would’ve done!

Sadly, no man to feel my
lovely body over the negligees I wear! I have a lock
on my bedroom door but kids don’t come in anyway (one leaving for university in September)!

LittleBoPeep72 · 26/06/2023 18:30

I don’t wear anything under the negligee either!

MaryJean87 · 26/06/2023 19:31

We get plenty of bare skin to skin bonding. We have sex at least once a day and cuddle afterwards. It's just just sleeping afterwards I put pjs on.

Alba82 · 26/06/2023 21:25

I wish we could still sleep naked, we used to when the kids were little but youngest is now pre-teen & has autism so isn't a great sleeper, we'd be forever getting dressed & undressed getting up through the night. Hubby has taken to wearing just boxers & I wear cami/short pjs

Anotherbloke1 · 26/06/2023 22:34

Just put a robe on. I sleep naked all the time. My girls knock on door if need me, if I need to go out the room I just put a robe on.

QuinionsRainbow · 27/06/2023 17:49

Birthday suits the default sleepwear for both of us since way before we met, in my case since I was about 10 and DH a similar age. Teamed with a single flat sheet for the past week or so of hot nights, 4.5 tog for much of the year and and never more than 9 tog even in the depths of winter.

NDerbys32 · 28/06/2023 16:22

I sleep naked as often as possible and have done for years now, but maybe not in the height of winter with current utility bill costs 😃
My wife not so keen. Shame really, but no drama really.

Blushingm · 28/06/2023 22:00

We both sleep naked whether we are sleeping in the same bed or not (we don't live together)

ARRGHHHHHxxxxx · 29/06/2023 01:04

Ive slept naked for years. Its a sensory issue for me and the clothes pulling and getting wrapped round me.
