Nude swimming club

I'm not sure this belongs in the Sex forum, but I think it's probably the least bad place to ask?

Has anyone been a member or a guest at a nude swimming club?
I've enjoyed skinny dipping in the sea a couple of times and have found there's a nude swimming club that hires a lical pool once a week. They do do taster sessions, but I'm just wondering whether they're closer to the 1970s volleyball cliche or to swingers clubs, or maybe neither?

I did this at a naturist club because I love the feeling: zero sex club vibes from those around me.

I can't really answer your question directly as I've no experience of nude swimming clubs. But I concur with you that swimming naked is wonderful! We did it a couple of times pre-kids at the naturist ends of French beaches and it was fantastic - along with the sunbathing afterwards. Not sexual but sensual and so liberating!

Our now young adult children still accompany us on holiday which is brilliant and I wouldn't want it any other way, but a it's bit inhibiting whenever we've felt the urge to go "au naturel" when there's been an opportunity to do so. Maybe one day when it's just the two of us again....

With nude swimming clubs I think my biggest concern, especially it was local, would be bumping into someone we knew, like a work colleague. Could be a tad awkward! 😬 😂

Name changed for this. I went to a naturist session at a pool about an hour from my home. I was about 30 and easily the youngest person there by at least twenty years.
I enjoyed the sensation,it is totally different from normal swimming and no yukky swimming costume to peel off.
The people were generally friendly but I was more interested in Just swimming around than chatting. I think they knew each other mostly.
There was a family there with young children which I thought I wouldn't do myself but each to their own. There was a couple there in their fifties who I avoided, I didn't like their vibe at all.
I would like to do it again, because it was very freeing.

We've been visiting naturist beaches/ swims for some years now. We were in Fuerteventura first and curiosity got the better of me, after holidaying there for years and seen so many on the beaches clothes free. Within minutes I was in the sea swimming and it was glorious.
My wife followed me a summer later. Met some really interesting folk through it all. No endless drinking vibes, just relaxed folk who want to kick back their way.
I really enjoy open water swimming here too, and occasionally skinny dip when it's appropriate.
My advice is to try it, at least once. Nothing to lose, it's just another life experience.

To be fair, I once visited a nudist community and I dont think I saw anyone under 60 ... or female. 🤔

There is a rather nice public Spa in North Yorkshire that do naturist nights. I've been to a couple. There is also a beautiful boutique naturist hotel in Majorca with a lovely pool. Message me for info.

Whilst there are people in their 50/ 60's, our experience is that there are younger people than that involved too. Once abroad, it's common for whole families and the whole range of ages to be part of it. They tend to view nudity in a hugely different way to how it is viewed here in the UK.

Never heard of such an event at a swimming pool. Maybe at one of the naturists weekends that some camps have but never attended as I don't really class myself as a nudist. Have tried on a beach in Greece once. We needed up on the end of the beach which was nudist, but not everyone was and seemed relaxed enough. DH tried it and really liked swimming etc. After a few days he coaxed me gradually to try going from topless to then bottomless.

I enjoyed once I relaxed. I did feel very much on display and being looked at but maybe that was my paranoia

There naturist swims in different places across the UK. Our local one closed sadly, before the pandemic. Once I had tried it and liked it, I didn't ask or insist on my wife joining me, that happened of her own choice the following summer. It's all very relaxed, from our perspective. I accept that others will not have the same opinions too.

For those that have been to UK pool sessions, albeit private hire, to what extent is it possible to swim for exercise, rather than just leisure?

A couple have been in leisure pools - sports centre types, and tend to have groups of people chatting away but there has been the opportunity to get some 'proper' swimming done.
Tbh I prefer outdoor swimming than indoors and skinny dipping is very much part of that when appropriate

This sounds wonderful, the swimming and sunbathing. Don't think I'll ever be brave enough but just the thought feels so soothing and relaxing

@SleepHygieneHelp It's lovely. Actually nothing quite like it. And nobody bats an eyelid. We felt self-conscious for about five minutes and then just relaxed and enjoyed it.

As I say it's been quite a few years. We've occasionally talked of going to a Greek island - which we've never done anyway - and finding the clothes-free end of a beach there and swimming and soaking up the Mediterranean sun in the nuddy. Bliss!

Kefalonia was fabulous, just before the pandemic. We will be going back some day. Bliss indeed!
