Why does my vagina sometimes feel tight or loose?

I've noticed that my vagina "tightness" changes dramatically at what seems to be random times throughout the month. I thought it could be do to with my menstrual cycle but there doesn't seem to be a strict pattern in the way it varies? I never know what kind of vagina I'm gonna be working with when it comes down to sex 😂
It baffles me, sometimes I have sex with my boyfriend and it feels tighter down there, and this is when I get the most pleasure to be honest, then other times I feel looser and honestly, I don't get as much pleasure... there just doesn't feel like there is enough fiction when it is "looser".
I wish I knew why it changes so much! Does any one know why it might be?

Have you had babies?
You could see a pelvic floor physiotherapist to check out the muscles are working correctly.

Yes I've had one baby.
Maybe it could be weakness down below? But would that cause it to change throughout the month? I wouldn't say I feel dramatically loose, just can really notice the difference from when I've "tightened" up. For example, I've been tight the past few days when I've been having sex.
It's so strange!

Time of the month cam change where the cervix is and how wet the vagina is, but you say you don't think it's that. Could it be how turned on you are, or different sexual positions that are making the difference?

I would’ve put this down to how turned on you are. Does it correlate with whether you’ve been fantasising/anticipating sex?

It could also be down to what exercises you've been doing that day. Certain ones can affect your intra abdominal pressure and unless your technique is absolutely textbook, you can end up unknowingly bearing down and this can affect the whole pelvic tone.
I have basically given up on any abdominal exercises and do much more legs and back. My tummy is now much flatter! And I don't get any funny dragging feelings in vagina which could sometimes come on.

Thanks for all your responses.
Im not sure if it correlates to being turned on, because this weekend I was very turned up and enjoying sex, and it felt tighter. And then other times in the past I've sometimes not been that horny, and when having sex it has felt looser, for example, really sorry if this is TMI, but it's almost like I feel more open down below and my partners penis slides in with barely any resistance. This is sometimes before any "warming up"! It isn't like that all the times, just sometimes, but I find it quite embarrassing when it's like that.

Oh this is interesting... so are you saying if you've been working the pelvic muscles that day, it gives a tighter feeling, or the opposite?

If you are doing lots of exercises that increase intra abdominal pressure, it can overload the pelvic floor. So I think it would contribute to feeling looser.
But a pelvic floor physio would be able to see if that's the case.
Mine held her finger inside me (!) and got me to do leg lifts to pilates tabletop. One leg at a time was fine, two legs was overloaded and she said to avoid as I was bearing down.

@Anxiodogo oh that's really interesting! I am intrigued to go to a pelvic specialist, just to see if everything is worked properly down there... it baffles me how much it changes from day to day!
