Paying for photos/videos

Hello,

I am looking into making some extra money by selling sexy photos/videos but without showing my face. Is there a market for this? Have you or anyone you know done this? I was also looking into sex chatting but it all seems to be via webcam which isn't really what I want as I have kids still at home & would prefer texting. I know this is a long shot but I wondered if anyone had any personal experience either as a creator or purchaser of these things!

Well I wouldn’t pay for porn when it’s so accessible and free, especially when you don’t want to show your face.

Hi, many folks see photos/videos as a harmless way to make an extra buck or two. If you aren't worried about them being around forever, then there's little to stop you.

You do need to make sure that your clients cannot identify or locate you, some people feel very entitled no matter how little they pay. I'm no expert, but I would imagine that the easiest, regular money is for someone who feels a close connection to you - that may relate to personalised content such as wearing a particular colour, eating a specific foodstuff or referencing someone - or because you provide a unique image such as showing the soles of your feet or moisturising your hands.

Once you cross the threshold, you can't be squeamish if a vulnerable person is spending more with you than you think they can afford and once you've taken money for sex work, you are a sex worker.

To my knowledge, I've only met one prostitute - she was a lovely, caring person and I didn't realise what she'd told me until the following day - I'm sure that she saw herself as more of a carer.

In the world of porn, you can see that a very small minority make a lot of money from selling their personality, are clothed more often than not and stay around longer. Conversely, many are chewed up and spat out after forcing very large objects in very small apertures.

Something like self-bondage or smearing custard/cream on yourself is the kind of niche that wouldn't require showing your face, but I'm sure you'd need a hook to keep fans loyal.

You could of course imagine yourself in this role and write a 'memoir' - if you look at the creative writing threads here, porn-writing is often recommended as the quality available is apparently dreadful.

It's a tricky world out there, I hope that you navigate it successfully.

Be lucky, but sometimes online surveys and stacking shelves have much to recommend them. I'd love hear what you decide to do. David

I think that's basically how Only Fans works isn't it? I know one person that's tried it and she made a bit of cash (hundreds rather than thousands) but I imagine she showed her face.

I'd agree with the above. Misunderestimated has made some excellent points. Like most men I have peered at online porn occasionally. The internet is awash with free material to cater for all sorts of tastes ( most are pretty grim) so unless you can offer something niche I really can't see anybody paying for stuff that they can get by the bucket load for nothing.
I've no experience of pay sites (I'd never give them my card no!) But the press has featured articles on 'onlyfans' for example. I think users pay for more personalized experiences... Like all walks of life a few will make vast amounts of money but 99.999% probably wont. And any video uploaded to the internet will be cloned, shared, sold, circulated so once you are out there you are there for ever!
if you are good with words why not try writing erotic stories? Much more anonymous and there are sites where one can buy erotic stories. TBH though if you need regular extra income then you would be better off finding conventional full or part time work, especially if you have children. Plenty of employers offer flexibility around child care commitments.

Thank you for the replies! So I already do have a full time job & can't take on any more work our of the home due to childcare. The responses are very helpful and exactly what I expected to be honest, I know there are people who are open about what they do etc and good for them but unfortunately that's just not something I'm willing to do due to my real job & children. Back to the drawing board!

A friend of mine sells pictures of their feet, nothing sexual on her side but random men pay her for pictures of her putting things on her feet like custard, milk etc. Even videos of her just moving her feet, there is nothing that shows her face so its completely anonymous. However she doesn't make much from this, the odd £10-£20 here and there so it depends how much you are hoping to make if this is something you could do
