Deleted Sexchat Thread

Anyone know why the Online Sexchat thread has suddenly been deleted after several months bumbling along in its horny little way? I hadn't noticed anything particularly offensive on there.

Were there many men posting as women?

I had two Chat partners who disappeared without warning. Another accused me of being a man.

I have two new chat mates who I like, one only talks about sexy things, another we reminisce as well as talk each other through... We are a bit older I suspect.

I shall miss having somewhere to chat and avoid dick-pics.

I had wondered the same thing. Unfortunately, here as in other adult themed chat sites, it does attract some people (mainly men) of questionable interpretations of polite....and pushy...and perhaps it had therefore drawn complaints from female users who were inundated with messages from horny guys.

Yes, I think that may well have had something to do with it. Certainly, there have been instances of women on other threads being pestered by men who originally appeared on the sexchat thread - and who presumably didn't get what they were looking for there. Real shame to delete the whole thread for that though as lots of folk seemed to be having a genuinely fun time on it - and not just chatting about sex!

Yes I agree. Had some good chats with some women from there, and is a shame if the minority ruined it for the rest.

MNHQ - Any comments on this?

I noticed last night that it had disappeared. I didn't see anything on the thread that was offensive. It's been up for months and MNHQ have commented on it previously.... why take it down now?

If people are being harassed surely you can just hit the block button?

I have found a lovely guy from it. Our chat ranges from downright dirty to regular everyday stuff. We've even spent a few evenings watching a movie (not blue!) together.

I take it rules we’re broken, maybe men sending persistent messages, or people not appearing who they are. There was a thread also on here about an Open Relationship that was deleted because there were concerns about the poster and the person sending links in pm’s.

Well, personally I think that's a shame. I'm all for moderating these chats, especially on sex topics that often attract some dodgy characters, but to completely delete a thread based on "concerns" is like saying that readers can't make up their own minds about what's real and what's not, or what's worthy of discussion and what isn't.
I know the open relationship thread you are talking about, I was following it with interest and personally I found it very inspiring. I was really hoping to read the full version, but the OP was clearly kicked out, so no chance of that now.

This one will be deleted soon- for being a thread about a thread!
Maybe if loads of people were reporting others as a result of the thread, from dm's or whatever, it's causing them hassle so easier to delete the thread and put an end to it. Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

Weird it was taken down after so long. I had a few nice chats with women, most never really got going, one was amazing.

It would be really good if, instead of removing whole threads, MNHQ could post clearly what the issue is and just remove those posts. I an think of 3 threads now that had lots of value content and offers of support/PMs that have just vanished. Even if a thread could be "frozen" so no one can add more but the previous, 'ok', content could stay visible.

For those of us wishing to carry on an interesting conversation we have no choice but to start all over again and risk it becoming a 'taat'.

Previous bi support chat moved off MN for this reason (and unsolicited messages from men) 🤦🏼‍♀️
