I haven't seen a penis like this before

I have recently started seeing someone new and even more recently became intimate and saw and handled his penis. I was until 2 years ago married (sexless relationship) and had almost no sexual experience prior to my exh. In other words I'm afraid what I'm posting here will be utterly naive.
So about halfway along the shaft there is a line and the colour changed abruptly from brown/white to pink. Then the head is a different kind of deeper pink/purple colour. I've known only relatively monochrome penises previously. I have terrible anxiety generally and keep worrying its some kind of STD he is keeping from me buy that's probably rubbish.

Sounds like he's circumcised

Loreline · 06/11/2021 00:53

Thing is I've handled a circumcised penis before and there wasn't this colour change thing, just a permanently visible top 2/3 of the glans and a ring of skin

In my experience if a man is of a deeper skin tone I have seen this in circumcised penises. It's perfectly normal.

Almost certainly circumcised. However, it is possibly more noticeable if he has had the procedure done when older or as an adult. Young babies that are circumcised don't show the difference as they are so small.

My DH was circumcised 6 months before we got married. His choice as he knew I really liked that but had never asked him to have it done. The difference was pretty obvious at first but then fades. Maybe your BF is darker skinned?

Also, it depends what type of "cut" is done. There are different styles and the foreskin can be cut and removed in different places. I never knew that and was only when the doctor at the circumcision clinic asked what type DH TB would like that we found out the different choices. He opted for a tight cut that meant no loose foreskin left at all.

The doctor did say a lot more adult men are having this done now for cosmetic reasons so it is possible he did, or had a medical issue when older requiring it. In any event, enjoy. I really love the look and feel as well!!

Possible he could have some scarring from hyperspades op when a child ?

HotPeppasauce2 · 08/11/2021 04:33

You will definitely know if he is circumcised or not. I can't relate to the colour thing that people have mentioned. But that isn't the main give anyway IYSWI.

Tal45 · 08/11/2021 08:48

Could it be the result of a tight foreskin (only a guess and assuming he's not circumsised).

Why would people have bits cut off their dick for cosmetic reasons? My mind boggles (but assumes it's unfortunately related to porn).

SnoopsCaliforniaRoll · 08/11/2021 08:56

Perhaps you could suggest you both have STD tests to put your mind to rest (if this is a regular thing / actual relationship)?

This does not sound like any type of STI I am aware of, but instead more like a skin tone thing (agree with PP).

altmember · 08/11/2021 09:21

It's quite likely to be the line where the foreskin meets the fixed skin, when it's fully retracted. Not sure about purple helmet, not aware of any sti that would cause that. So it's probably fine, just down to the volume of blood in there. It's mainly things like sores or blisters that could indicate an sti, but obviously the only reliable way is to get tested.

I can't understand why anyone would get circumcised either these days, think it's possible to alleviate phimosis without just hacking off part of a man's genitals.

Annwen · 08/11/2021 09:22

If you're using condoms, as you should be in a new relationship, then you should be OK until you get the tests done. That was always my rule and it's kept me safe and healthy.

Loreline · 08/11/2021 19:47

It seems he is circumcised and for some reason had it done twice which may account for the line where inner and outer parts of the penis meet.We have been using condoms and will get tested soon. I thought I read something about HPV & other nasties being less likely to be transmitted by a foreskinless penis but will wait until we have results before taking the condom off

Have you asked him why he had to have a second circumcision? Presume to rectify the first?

In any event, don't worry and enjoy. Using some lube is really nice for a circumcised guy. There isn't any foreskin to hold back so you can directly massage all of his cock and balls. Think you will find he rather enjoys that

An uncircumcised penis has a mucus membrane on the head that's protected by foreskin. After circumcision the mucus membrane dries up and the skin toughens. This leads to reduced sensitivity, but it also makes it slightly harder for an sti to pass to a man. I don't think it works in reverse though - if he has something he's just as likely to give it to you as a man who's uncut.

Most people carry hpv already, and men aren't screened for it anyway.

Uap20 · 26/02/2022 01:39

Hi there

Without doubt it's a circumcision scar. I had it done very late in life. My wife really gets turned on by it. Sex is far better imho

PerditaPerdita · 26/02/2022 14:44

Sounds like a variegated radish .....

It's scarring, has to be, and different layers of skin, bless him.

Photo?

Guavaf1sh · 06/03/2022 11:38

It’s not an STD

1forAll74 · 13/03/2022 04:52

I wouldn't be able to see things without my glasses on.
