If you went to a gentlemens club, and paid for a lap dance, would you mind if the lady had stretch marks, cellulite or was a bit bigger?

Thanks!

Before the inevitable great pile on starts, "ordinary" looking women (or rather "real" looking) are very popular.

Ladywholoveswine · 01/10/2021 07:45

I know somebody who was a lap dancer and continued for some time after she had her two children, she did have some stretch marks too and seemed successful with it. She no longer does it anymore though.

I would never visit a lap dancing club, so it's a bit hypothetical, but were I to do so I would have no issue whatsoever with either stretch marks, a few extra pounds, or any other body characteristics. This is because I am a grown man who knows what real women look like and not a vacuous airhead who thinks everyone should look like an airbrushed, half-starved, gym bunny.

Aahh I love this. I'm off to strut around my house.

I think this comment is quite offensive. Are we now shaming women for not having imperfections, who are very slim and now classed as not being a ‘real woman’. I’d never judge a woman for being overweight, neither would I judge a woman who had a typical gym body. Women are beautiful regardless of imperfections or not.

I'm not quite sure why they call them "Gentlemans" clubs. No self-respecting gentleman would ever set foot in one!
CBUK2K2 · 01/10/2021 17:12

@Sally3388 If you paid to go and see Magic Mike would you want to see David Beckam or David Cameron? It's really down to personal preference what each person finds sexy.

I would say in the real world personality and wit is much sexier than stunning figure but the personality of a Frosties box. But a lap dancer is more like the Diet Coke guy than a life partner so I'd say looks probably rate highly in earnings for dancers and models.

CBUK2K2 · 01/10/2021 17:22

@SirGawain About 30% of the people you see in lap dancing clubs are women/couples.

I don't really see the issue assuming the ladies dancing are there by choice any more than I seen an issue with men doing the same.

A friends housemate paid her way through unit working a couple of nights a week while we all toiled away in crap retail/bar jobs earign far less.

rattusrattus20 · 11/10/2021 08:03

I've been to a couple of lap dancing places over the years. Over the course of this very limited experience I'd say that whilst dancers aren't always pretty, and relatively rarely have big boobs etc (both things that men obviously like in a potential partner), they are pretty much always slim and fit looking, and usually young and/or by the look of them probably childless. I suppose it's what you'd expect in a dancer.

Snoozysnoozy · 11/10/2021 12:08

I wouldn't mind personally, but I imagine for some men they're paying for a fantasy of an "unobtainable" woman.

HoneyRose87 · 11/10/2021 12:25

I can’t help but think men who pay for lap dancers are a bit sleazy and desperate, a bit like the men who pay women on OnlyFans for a bit of wank material 😬

Snoozysnoozy · 11/10/2021 12:58

@HoneyRose87 I think if you were to go into a strip club then you'd certainly find blokes like that. I think you'd also see other more normal men too.

Hypothetical for me too. However, I also know that it isn’t necessary to have stretch marks, cellulite and a few extra pounds to be a “real woman”.

I prefer the gym bunny look.

Eugh some of these posts Hmm

maartjebaabes · 12/10/2021 15:57

It's not something I do (only been dragged in a couple of times) but my recollection is that looking interested and happy is much more important than absolute perfection. Even though both may be
faked.

Estherpologist · 14/10/2021 07:07

+1 for @CBUK2K2
If I went to see the Chippendales I'd expect to see a six pack not a dad bod. That doesn't mean there's anyhing wrong with dad bods.

Freddy12 · 14/10/2021 23:53

Really would not waste the cash for lots of reasons
Has been offered whilst working away but would rather spend the money on a nice meal and have a wank later if horny

Bassarid · 13/11/2021 05:05

Good fighting talk on here, can we go on AIBU?
