Good god, I don't know what to do or where to put myself Sad Have NChanged as this is just embarrassing.

I've always had a high sex drive but in recent weeks it's gone through the roof. I feel like I'm in heat. I'm early-mid 40s so have just been reading online that some women hit peri-menopause and their sex drive just skyrockets...

All sounds very wonderful but honestly, it's getting in the way of actual life. My poor DH is older than me and happily DTD weekly at most. I've told him about this constant friskiness and although he's happy to oblige occasionally, it's still all encompassing. I think about sex constantly, dream about it (god, even my colleagues are making regular appearances in my dreams Shock)

It's constantly there in my thoughts. Apart from cold showers and going for regular runs, what can I do? Help! Anyone else had this? Please tell me I'm not alone!!

Sex surge. I’d never heard of it as women usually go off sex all together. Started, suddenly, with me at 45 when my periods came to an abrupt halt. Few months later so was like a rabbit on heat but didn’t want my husband. We’d had a sexless marriage for almost a decade. I got involved with someone else - ashamed to say - but realised why after a lot of soul searching. My much older husband was nothing more than a friend/flat mate.
I settled after a year or so but definitely more sexual than I was. I ended my marriage in the end as realised how much I’d deprived myself of happiness and it wasn’t fair - on either I’d us.
Hormones are very powerful!!!

@NormaLouiseBates

Don't want to alarm anyone but this hit me almost 2 years ago and it's still going strong. It does have highs and lows (when my poor husband breaths a sigh of relief and enjoys a bit of a rest) but mostly highs. When it's really bad it's literally all consuming. This week has been a belter. 5 times I had to sort myself out yesterday ffs 😂
