Sex after motherhood?

Hi, motherhood has transformed me in many ways and one particular way is that I don’t seem to want kinky sex anymore that I used to enjoy. I just want plain passionate missionary position type of thing, massage, bath and good night of sleep. My baby is only one year old, do you think the old me is dead or will the desire to be adventurous return? It bothers my DH but not too much. Has motherhood changed your sex life? I’m not talking about not having the time anymore, that is obvious but actually changing your preference?

Yes, very much! I was really surprised.

Before having a kid I used to like my partner telling me fantasies - afterwards this ceased to do anything for me at all. It's been a reversal in some ways - I've never had such intense feelings in foreplay as I did before the sprog but climaxing has been much more intense - the only times I've "seen stars" were after childbirth.

Overall not better or worse but very different.

@HPFA yes exactly same! Better feel but things that used to turn me on don't do it anymore and some things that I didn't mind doing for my partner are a huge turn off now.

Wait till you get near menopause then it will all change once more!

I got intense desires to basically be a teenager again! I ended up writing some fan fiction to get the itch out of my skin. It was rather weird when I got comments like "Thanks, girl, I love this story " but definitely less embarrassing than wandering the neighbourhood lusting after 20 year olds!

I guess just roll with it!
