So I've been in a relatively new
Relationship with a guy since before Xmas. We get on great but he does have a couple of odd tendencies and then the last two times we have been intimate have been slightly strange. I've told a couple of friends who, after laughing their head off, couldn't give much useful advice.
Bit of background - he's professional really great guy, attractive, athletic etc. So I've always said it's a little strange that he likes to smell me, not anywhere rude or anything but just my skin. Anyway the last two times we've been intimated, we've had foreplay etc, he's gone on top and we've obviously been moving together then he's stop and just laid there - erect penis still in me, moaned a bit but literally not moved for maybe a minute, Then started again, then stopped again for another minute. No kissing or anything when he stops just laid smelling my neck, with this face In My neck.
Afterwards things have been normal and to be honest I'm a little embarrassed To say anything. Told friends who think it's hilarious and that's he's a weirdo. What are your thoughts?

Don’t know about the smelling (maybe you smell nice), but pausing during sex is a definitely a method to prolong the experience, along with changing speed, depth etc

Agree with the PP's about stopping himself from cumming. I have to pause sometimes to make things last longer if that is how things are progressing.

Don't worry about the smelling unless it is seriously troubling you. People forget that we are animals and that smell plays a part in attraction. I love how my partner smells, and will happily just take a huge sniff ( consent forthcoming of course ! ) just because she smells so good, even when we wake up in the morning. Luckily for me she feels the same about my smell.

Prof. Winston did a great program about scent / smell and how powerful it is. Apparently it is a biological indicator that you a good match genetically and any offspring would have a good mix of genetic traits, so maybe more subconscious important in the overall attraction than we realise.

Well firstly I would love someone to want to smell my skin and I do that too, so for me and ex not weird. I literally would have to get close enough just to smell him and mean any bit of his skin. So just eg pick up his hand and smell it, his forearm, wherever. Neck particularly good.

Yep, guys who are considerate know when to stop for a mo in order to last longer. Manys the time I've been asked to hang on or stop moving for a mo. It's a good thing, shows a willingness to control and ultimately leads to a better experience. The smell thing, I can relate to as mine is sensitive and I do like the smell of some more as opposed to others, I've sometimes detected a pheromone type smell on someone's breath during particularly steamy moments that gets me well worked up.
