Sex sitting up

How exactly does it work? I really like the idea of it but we've tried a few times and can't figure out how to actually move at all once in position!

I used to quite like sitting up at the head of the bed, as if reading a book and my partner straddling me,.
Also used to like sitting on the edge of the bed with partner straddling, facing or away both worked, worked best with low bed or taller partner, so she could get her feet on the floor.

Also a chair works well, but best to use on old fashioned wooden kitchen chair, again worked best with a taller partner (me being the man), so she can get her feet on the floor, facing either way works well, put face to face is really good

For argument's sake, let's say he sits eg on the bed with his legs out in front of him, slightly open. You sit facing him, on him, kind of kneeling. You have the purchase (by kneeling) to move on him. He can pull you on and off him by your hips or bottom.

You could also stretch your legs out instead of kneeling but that quite often then ends up with him eventually lying you back and going on top of you.

Him on a chair, you on top facing him ... yes nice.

Thank you, ok it's the kneeling bit we were missing! We were trying legs literally wrapped around and there was no elegant way of moving like that 🤣🤣

With the legs round each other, it can still work. You can either just move very slowly - more gyrating/circling your hips than 'up and down', or you can lean back and put your weight on one/both arms, which can give you a bit more room for manoeuvre. I quite like the first one...if i'm really turned on, it be very intimate, being that close and really push me over the edge. but it will definitely depend on what kind of movement works for you guys in terms of stimulation.
