Sex after birth

Has anyone on here had a 3B degree tear during birth? If so how long did you wait before sex? I’ve stopped bleeding and feel ready... however I’m not sure if it’s safe as I’m only 4 weeks PP?!

I'm 4 weeks pp too no tear though. I'm still bleeding a little but too scared

Honestly I'd wait. I had a episiotomy 1st time and thought i was ready after 4 weeks. It hurt and was awful.

After 2nd birth I had a little graze, waited 6 weeks and it still hurt a lot

@viixie hi, sorry I’m late to return! Did you end up doing it? I think you’ll be okay! But if you telling scared of course this could make you tense up and make it painful
@Peanutbutterblood I ended up doing it, didn’t hurt at all I also had a episiotomy with my last I wanted 8 weeks and didn’t have any pain, sorry you didn’t have a nice experience for your first time after birth!

Isnt it advised to waith 6 weeks becayse of increased risk of infection? I waited like 5 months. I was terrified and didnt feel ready until then.

I waited a week and had a year and stitches.

Medical advice I received in regards to sex post birth was 'whenever you're ready'.

I didn't have any pain dtd 1 week pp.

Maybe you could trial touching yourself/or getting your partner to just to see how tender your perineum etc is before jumping in.
