Don’t like sex

Anyone else not like sex with their husband? I just feel uncomfortable and not able to relax, it’s never really been good and he has issues staying hard. I like the idea of it but once we start I just want it to be over

You might feel different if you had your emotional and physical needs fulfilled.

I like the idea of sex but the actual act of it is not as mind blowing as I thought it would be. I enjoyed it for the most part in my younger years but in my 40s it’s meh.

OP are you still attracted to your husband ??
What is your sex drive like ? Are you both similar would you say ?

Have you shared an active sex life in the past ?
How do you feel about yourself; are you sexually confident?
You have the potential to blow his mind with the little things and then it may lead to amazing sex but the question is do you want to have amazing sex and are you willing to work at it ?
If you expect him to do everything then it's not going to work, IMO :-)

I do wonder if many women just succumb to their husband as some kind of duty, to preserve the status quo,etc..

It sounds like there's a lack of connection there OP, something more going on that's not being discussed?? im the opposite to you @widespreadpanic I kind of 'did sex' in my 20's but never really connected much with myself in it. Lost interest for years when I was in a long marraige and thought I just didnt like sex, but my first relationship after that ended WOW - I learned a lot, I definitely like sex now :) We broke up though so now I am just left with longings LoL!
