I actually considered changing my username for this but why not it's natural?

So I have been seeing this bloke for a while and I'm seeing him tomorrow but I'm on my 4th day of my period! It's not heavy at all anymore and I may be of by tomorrow but what do you all think about period sex?

As a man I always found it rather a turn-on, as the for the majority of women it seems to be something they are not that keen on. It seems to me that period sex carries the subliminal message that a woman is not ashamed of her body, and that has to be a good thing. Sensible measures for cleanliness can be taken, so why not?

We do but wouldn’t say it’s a regular thing. Also if think I generally pretty light as after the first day I pretty much stop in the evenings night/time. So I may feel different about it if I had a heavy flow. Also I use tampons rather than pads as I hate pads just sitting in you’re own 🤢 so find that it’s not to messy of don’t change positions to much

My partner has always said it doesn't bother him, it's a natural part of life. It bothered me a little the first time I ever had sex on a period but not anymore. Just put a towel down to soak up any mess and have fun!

My partner isn’t phased by my period at all. He also goes down on me while I’m on my period.

I used to keep going regardless when l was younger (40s), these days they are heavier and l tend to abstain. At least at the beginning and/or when l am having sex with someone new.

But if you are light enough to feel OK by day 4, we can advise to kingdom come on here, but this is a conversation you need to have with him, before the knickers come off.

If you regularly wish to have period sex then you do what an American girlfriend of mine used to do. She had a Dutch cap contraceptive and used to insert that on the basis that if it is designed to prevent semen getting in, it will stop blood getting out. It worked well and there was no interruption to our PIV sex lives.

If its the 4th day then yes, why not? Me and Oh usually have a shag 4 days in as my period is almost finished. And he's not one for period sex at all.

I tend to get horny on my period but feel dirty having sex on them! Not for all of us.

How are you seeing him to have sex when the current Covid restrictions are what they are?! Perhaps not the point, but still.

@RiverCrossing not everyone will be following the lockdown rules, rules get broken constantly as do laws and so it’s not a big surprise that someone is breaking this ridiculous rule, if I had someone to have sex with then I would be too, regardless of rules. I live alone, not working just now, and always washing hands just now, and I have zero underlying health issues and so I know I’m safe and I can’t ‘infect’ anyone and if I desperately needed to see my man and he was in the same boat as me then I’d go for it too.

I've always been fine with sex on my period. My partners have all been different. I have always mentioned it in the early stages of foreplay and said that it's there, and it's light... I don't generally do it in heavy flowing times! But have done and just put a towel down.

I've done this with a few partners (only bfs or when I was with my dh) and just mentioned it prior to warn them. None have had any issue and not even noticed really

My DP is dead against it. It's a huge ick for him due to reasons he won't discuss (childhood) so I let it go. Can be a bit frustrating as I can be just spotting and horny as hell but he just won't.

Day 4 may be okay (my period is pretty much over by then) but I wouldn't do it when it's heavy. Been there, done that and it wasn't sexy for either of us. Creates a real mess on the sheets too.
