Anyone else gone off sex since lockdown??

I am 43 and since lockdown started I really haven’t wanted to have sex - I don’t know why . It just feels a bit weird 😑

Is anyone else experiencing this ?

Yep, completely lost interest. No idea why, but I hope the urge returns.

This is a time of high stress for many of us. While some may seek comfort from sex, others will find their libido takes a huge nose dive because of the mindset they are currently in.

It's increased here, no school and college runs and WFH means we don't have to rush up, so more us time and it's a great way to start the day.

I guess as we aren't at all stressed over this virus helps.

My sex drive has properly nose dived. I've put on weight so I feel disgusting, not working and failing at homeschooling so I feel useless and I'm struggling to keep up with the washing/cooking/shopping so I'm exhausted. I want my life back!!

Only because DS is living with us which puts me off and limits any action to the bedroom

Yep, I'm too tired from work, household chores and having Dd6 around all the time! Me and OH used to enjoy morning sex on our occasional day off together ( we both work shifts) but that isn't happening at all now so our sex life has become even more irregular..

Up and down. Ordering silly amounts of lingerie and toys but then feeling rather fat and hairy when it arrives! Need some self care (in both senses of the word!)

Its had the opposite effect on us! It's actually brought us closer together and we have had some interesting discussions about fantasy etc 😉

I only started to feel remotely horny yesterday, first time since lockdown. Been driving DH insane but I just feel so damn tired - between both DC being constantly around, home schooling and the extra work that having both DC at home entails..... it's wiped me out.

I'm the opposite... I really want it and he's not interested....

DH wants it, he's a key worker so his pattern hasn't changed. I'm alone with our baby all the time and barely get a minute to myself, it's the last thing I want and I'm getting fed up of no romance, I'd rather read a book.

Yes, so glad it's not just me! I prefer doing it during the day when DD is at nursery but now that's not an option, and by the time she is in bed I'm too exhausted! Luckily I think my OH feels the same!

Opposite here too .... I think it’s trauma bonding .... we’ve had lots of sex and whilst it’s all been good - some of it has been epic

Some people lock down in high stress situations to protect the self and family whereas others get the urge to reproduce to protect the species. We need both types to survive long term.

Me. This is fortunate because I live on my own! I’m sure it’ll return, I normally find this if I’m isolated and my libido reappears when I’ve been somewhere where there’s a lot of testosterone in the air.

Considering a visit to the gym when it reopens. Not for hookups, just to get my mojo back.
