Has anyone recovered from an STI

I was at a party a while ago. Stayed over. A guy there wanted to have sex , I didnt really want to but I gave in. I asked him to wear a condom. He refused, and then next minute shoved it into me unprotected. I didnt want to do it that way. I told him to stop because he hurt me physically aswel. He stopped then.

Anyway, he left me with a raging STI. I am so scared.
I am so angry at myself for staying over at his place, and putting my health at such terrible risk. And I am so angry at him too.

I am red and inflamed down there, itching really badly at night, it looks like there is grey fungus down there.

I have obviously passed it to my eyes at night because my eyes are itching, and my tongue is also covered in green fungus.

I am taking antibiotics. I am on day 2 of 3 from the doctor. He also took blood tests which I am waiting for. I am so scared, my vagina, eyes and throat all ache.

Has anyone recovered fully from an STI?

I hate that guy so much. I didnt want to have unprotected sex. He made me. I am so so scared that it has done lasting damage to my health. My eyes and tongue are also itchy and sore. I am so worried. I am on day 2 of 3 days antibiotics and it is still the same

This is really difficult to read because it is rape. It was non consensual sex which equals rape.
He should have stopped when you asked him to, instead of forcing himself into you, especially without a condom.
I think you should phone Rape crisis and speak to someone.

You have done the right thing by going to the Dr’S and getting antibiotics and blood tests done.

Hopefully this will clear it.Have you told anyone else what happened?

Have you got support from family and friends?

If this doesn’t continue to clear up, go back to the G.P and get More medication.

This is not your fault, but you are dealing with it and the STI will clear up. You may need counselling to deal with what has happened.

Sweetie, you need to up your boundaries, you are worth so much more than pressured sex, with an STI infected loser.

If you are worried about your health still, get checked up at a sexual health clinic.

They will do a number of tests on you.

@lexiepuppy the doctor took blood tests two days ago, but he told me that there will be a big delay in getting the results, because of the Coronavirus affecting the health system. Great.

You have had the bloods done which is good, worst ways they will give you the results over the phone or by letter.
Results may take longer because of all that is going on, but you are getting it done and that is the main thing.

I am proud of you for getting this all sorted and with all the Coronavirus stuff going on as well.

You don't mention swabs, you need a swab taking for most STI's. Antibiotics usually clear them up pretty fast once on them but without a diagnosis, you could be on the wrong ones. Blood test would just show HIV syphilis & Hep status, your symptoms sound bacterial ( though it is sensible to check the blood too).

Thanks @Opentooffers I got swabs taken too. He said I won't get any results back from swabs or blood tests back for a long time, because of labs being dedicated to coronavirus only for a while, which is awful and worrying for me!

Because he couldn't do labs to check, he guessed what I had and gave me an antibiotic for the most common STI.

These antibiotics are not working. I am going to have to go back again, and he is going to have to guess again. :(

why are no labs working on other health issues at all?

I can understand your frustration, it's added stress on top that you don't need. I had a delay waiting on results once because it fell into Easter hols. Once you are on the right treatment it should clear up fast. It tends to be people who have not noticed any symptoms who don't get treatment for months who can have fertility issues, but it sounds like you've been only too aware of the signs quite quickly so don't worry about that.

If you think it looks like fungus, u might need an antifungal rather than an antibiotic. Did the doc see what it looked like?

As said it is rape and - please - for the help of everyone do report this bastard. It may not - of course - ever go to court but the police should [in the fullness of time] have serious words with him.

Provided that you are taking the correct antibiotics then you have every reason to believe you will make 100% recovery

I am going to try to report him.

I have taken the full course of antibiotics, it is three days later, and my vagina is still itching, sore, red, inflamed and uncomfortable. :( I hate my life.

I am worried he has done permanent damage to me.
I feel sick at the stress of the thought of going back to my male doctor, who will tell me again that they will not get my sti results back for weeks due to the coronavirus, and he will have to guess again.

This is alot of stress at once, I am crying

I feel I cant bear to go back to my male doctor again by myself. He will just say "oh the labs are not working we will have to guess" again.
No other doctors will take me. No labs are working for STI tests. Why is the whole health system stopping because of Coronavirus, it is ridiculous. There are no coronavirus cases near me.

But it was the violence of the act aswell, I just feel like he has totally infected my body with his horrible self, I hate that my poor body still feels so sick because of him.

Now I have blood in my urine :(.

I am going to go to a different STI clinic tomorrow and see if they can help.

You must phone the police and report what has happened, even if it is just logged over the phone , give as much detail as possible.

The blood in your urine is important to get sorted out. Phone Dr’S or if STI clinics are open(not sure) then get everything checked out again and tell them all that happened.

Get Cranberry juice to drink, it is good for STIs. (If it is in stock)

As well as being raped, I think it sounds as if he has knowingly infected you which is also a serious crime. He needs to be stopped for your sake and also for the women who will undoubtably be targeted in the near future. I imagine he's done it before and the police may already have some reports to back yours up.

The NHS online testing service, sh.uk, are working normally.

I received a text this morning confirming receipt of my posted sample and advising results would be available in 1 to 3 days online.

It was a very efficient service and the little pack arrived the day after I registered. Pre paid return too.

Hi op how are you doing ? I was raped a few years ago 1st time I have ever said it publicly 😳 and even tho I am over it I still have days where it will pop in my head. So I know how confusing everything is for you right now . This man also give me herpes . I have it for life . I had awful breakouts for the 1st two years but now nothing at all . Thankgod . What is the man like ? Do you know him well ? Has he slept around ? Personally with all what your saying I would 100 percent be in their case to know what he has given you . It might be nothing tho so try not to worry too much . It could be thrush . That's can transfer to your mouth too . Also blood in your grime could be a water infection . Did your symptoms start after the antibiotics? If they did they could if caused it antibiotics give me bad thrush sometimes . Please reply on here and let us know your ok . X
