This is something that just would do nothing for me. Uncomfortable, rough, painful and really non sensual. Do some women genuinely enjoy it?

I am glad that there are women hear who are willing to stand up and admit that they enjoy being fisted, despite others making negative comments about them and the practice itself.. Like many aspects of sexual behaviour, it isn't for everyone, but that does not make the practice wrong, nor does it make those who like fisting worthy of snide remarks. It's human nature that what some of find is great, others will be repulsed by.

If you are unable to understand that some people will love fisting, then please walk on by. This is a forum dealing with sex, so those who come here ought to be either seeking to offer/receive advice, or to broaden their own knowledge of sexuality through positive communication with others. Why come here if all you want to do is pour scorn on what others do behind their bedroom doors?

There is a lot of stigma around this for reasons I don’t fully understand. I think the general impression of it is of something aggressive / violent, but that hasn’t been my experience - obviously if someone just tries to insert their entire hand into your vagina that won’t be much fun for the majority of women, but building up gradually is enjoyable, plus you can just stop at any point if it’s enough. I had a negative impression of it too, until an enlightening drunken discussion of it with a couple of lesbian friends about it. Once I had a better understanding of it, it didn’t feel like a scary thing and it’s something I enjoy on occasion. I think one of the things about it is that it’s only something you can do when you’re very relaxed, arousal is high and you’re with someone you trust.

I must admit to being astonished at myself when I'd had the session with my lady friend, it was something which I'd never thought of doing before, and as someone says above, it's probably a question of doing it carefully and leisurely. But my lady friend was as amazed at it as I was.

The trick is to start off small (1/2 fingers) and build up and for me it has to start very gently. It's great and in a way I crave it but my DP gets a little freaked out by it so it isn't as often as I'd ideally like.

Only done it once, vaginally, after a long, long session it just sort of happened naturally with my bf. I loved it, but I think it was a one-off, and that’s fine. Felt happily sore afterwards.
