I had DD 4 months ago and unlike some women postpartum very much feel like I want to have sex with DH.

Apart from the issue is it blood hurts. Pain with deep penetration.

I had a bad tear, 3rd degree & episiotomy so stiff was extensively altered. I do feel like my entrance is a tad tighter an now with sex get a small cut/tear at the bottom of my entrance at 6 o clock after every attempt with then stings. It heals up after a few days but I would then have to avoid anything in there area until it heals.

Really hoping these issues can resolve and I can enjoy my sex life again. DH has been really good about it but it’s getting me down!

I was the same. 8 months pp it's back to normal for me.

4 months is still quite early days IMO
I did feel the same though, my mind was willing but my body was not!! I had an episiotomy too and a ventouse delivery, no 3rd degree tear but still took a long time for me to heal. 7 months pp now and things definitely feel a lot better, up until about 6 months pp I just found penetration was absolute agony. Give it time and don’t rush x

@FirstTimeMummaB thanks for your reply. I think it doesn’t help I don’t seem to produce any arousal fluid/lubrication down there anymore. I bottle fed from day one and medical professionals keep telling me it’s hormonal but I had an extensive repair done and things were changed about so I’m not so sure.

I feel aroused and internally I have some lubrication but there will be absolutely nothing at my entrance. It’s all very bizarre and frustrating!!

Lube.
Also as it's still early try doing non penetrative stuff.
Oral, hands, toys

My episiotomy scar was tight, itchy and achy til about 7 months pp, but now (9 months) I hardly know it’s there.

About 6 months someone suggested massaging the scar with body safe oil (I used grape seed, olive would work too) daily and this seemed to really help it feel more normal.

I second lube. Plenty of it. Makes a massive difference! Just keep a towel handy as things got a bit messy for us the first few times 😳😂😂
