Low sex drive

I'm currently on the mini pill and it has completely diminished my sex drive.

Dh has been very understanding but to be honest it's really bothering me.

I've tried loads of different contraceptives and so far this has been the one that has given me the least amount of side effects.

Scrapping hormonal contraceptive is not an options as I really don't want any more children (have two already and were done)

We both would be willing to undergo permanent solutions to contraceptive but we're too young to be considered for an nhs referral and we don't have the money to go private.

Has anyone else had this problem? Did you find anything help increase your drive?

How old are you? If you both know you are done he could have vasectomy.

Coil?

Dh is 33 and I'm 26.

I've had a coil before but I didn't stop bleeding with it so had to have it removed ( have had copper and iud fitted)

Gp has said dh is too young for vasectomy

Have you tried implant? Didn’t suit me but know it isn’t like that for everyone. Is there a reason you aren’t on normal pill?

I agree perhaps at your ages too young but a couple more years and at 35 you should know. My exh has his then.

If your husband wants a vasectomy and the doctor will not refer him go directly to a Family Planning Clinic. I know of people who have done that at his age.

Had the implant removed before Xmas. Again didn't stopping bleeding with it.

There is a history of breast cancer in my family so not able to go on a combination pill.

Will ask dh to go to family planning. He can endure the three hour wait for once

To be honest you’ve done your bit. I know exh and I said ok let’s give it 6 months and think on the snip idea as I could not tolerate any contraceptive either.

He said he knew he didn’t want any more kids. So he went.

My current DP has his done aged 29.

I would see another Dr, I was sterilised when i was 25.

My DH had a vasectomy at the similar age.
It did wonders for our sex life!!

Thank you all. Will have a chat with dh. I hate hormone contraception it massively messes up my body.
