Just out of interest-How many times a week do you have sex with your husbands?
I've been with my husband for 6 years and we have two children under the age of 4. He works during the day and I work at nights,so I'm away up to 3 nights a week.
We have sex probably 3 or sometimes more times a week and I find it enough and quite healthy but just wanted to see what others think.

I think there are a number of factors such as age, circumstances, illnesses etc that could all feed into the mix. I’d say yours is healthy compared to the national average of twice a week.
I guess at the end of the day, it’s what makes you & your partner happy

That's true! I'm 28 and my husband is 32. I think my husband would like to have more sex if he could.

As mentioend you cant really compare the sex life of someone in their 20’s who have been together a few years to those in their 50’s who may have been together 30 years.

Or those with young children to with those with say teenagers.

I'm 32, dh is 36. Before I got pregnant probably every night, if not every other night. Sometimes in the morning. Though sometimes we would go through phases of nothing for a few days. Not down to anything, both just tired. Now I'm pregnant, maybe 3 times a week still but its defo slowed down. I'm wanting to go to bed to sleep and nothing else lol. I could easily go without at the min if I'm honest. I don't think there is a normal. My best friend has a high sex drive, her dh doesn't. They rarely have sex and are the same ages as me and dh but have been together much longer. I don't think my dh will ever go off sex if I'm honest. If one of us does, it will be me. But I know not to shy away from it if it does happen. That's where so many seem to fail.

Prob average of 3 times a week, although can vary if on holiday etc. That includes some occasional quickies just before going to work as he seems to like that knowing I'm dressed!!

We're about once a week, sometimes twice. We'd both like it to be more but we have an 11mo who doesn't always sleep through and we both work long hours

That looks ok OP. I approve, generally, though I would like to say that it is quality rather than quantity that counts. Are you getting it where it matters?

Quantity has changed enormously over our 25 year relationship.
Healthy is defined as what works for both of us at any point in time.
Quality has definitely improved over the years.
I don't think it's ever helpful to compare to other people because we are all different and all lead different lives.

Said it before but I'll bang the drum again as unfortunately I feel these type of threads can leave some feeling inadequate
Doesn't matter how many times someone else is doing it, what matters is that you are happy with the frequency & quality of your sex life.
Peaks & troughs here & not always sex, oral is a big factor. Pretty sure DH would have it every day but unfortunately for him that isn't going to happen.
Together 19 years two kids.

Two kids under 4 and have it maybe twice a month, lots of affection every day though so we're very close.
3x a week is good going in your situation!

Until recently it was about three times a month, due to various issues. Then literally nothing more than kissing for just under 3 years.
Right now it’s 4 times a week but he works away for 12 days a month so we will go without then.
So twice a week on average.
But it obviously has varied throughout our 18-year relationship.
