Mental health & libido

My DP has mental health issues & it effects his libido badly because of the medication

Any recommendations on how we can deal with this?

Tricky one - don't hide from it, discuss it as much as you can. Patience will be your best bet, once he feels better it will get better.

Hopefully he's doing some CBT as well, OP? The aim is normally to gradually reduce meds as the recovery takes place. Hopefully he'll at least find a sweet spot where the medication reduce to a level which stops hurting his libido.

I'm the meantime, as Jason said, keep talking.

Also worth taking PiV off the table altogether and see if you can at least have some level of intimacy. It's important to stay close when sex vanishes.
