I know the texture of you I want but it's hard to describe, would it be wrong to take a toy I have already into a sex shop and say I want one like it in a different size/shape?!

*toy! Not you

Sounds fine to me.

Diddlediddledumplings · 14/11/2017 00:03

Can you not find a picture and show them on your phone? Or Google? Nobody wants to see a used sex toy

Venusflytwat · 14/11/2017 00:06

If it’s texture how would they tell that without... touching it?? Confused

AuntAntigone · 14/11/2017 00:08

I would take a photo of it and bring that in, myself.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 14/11/2017 00:09

Take a photo or get the brandname and model. They can advise of similar.

It's the solidness and texture I'm after though... may just ask if I'm allowed to show them!

Hmm
callmehannahbaker · 14/11/2017 08:12

What's the face for?

Honestly that sounds a little bit TMI (although I'm sure it happens frequently to the poor souls that work at Anne Summers and Pulse & Cocktails.)

Can you not google your toy to see what it's made of, or go into store and say "I'm looking for a dildo that has a silicone outer layer but a solid structure inside" or whatever?

callmehannahbaker · 15/11/2017 18:40

I would but it was a gift and not seen one similar anywhere ever.

It's fine - just make sure it's clean (obvs)

Redken24 · 16/11/2017 21:29

Haha use the live chat feature on LH

demirose87 · 16/11/2017 21:33

The staff might be a bit taken aback at you showing them a used sex toy. I wouldn't if I was you.

Generally, sex shop workers aren't known for their conservative outlooks - I worked in one for a while, which is why I'm confident it's fine!

callmehannahbaker · 18/11/2017 02:17

Thank you @user1471548375, I always keep everything super clean-will take it in and ask if they mind looking.

Piewraith · 18/11/2017 02:43

Why don't you browse online and read some sex toy descriptions, that will give you ideas for how you might describe it.

Bringing in the toy is a bit weird. What are they meant to do, have a feel of it?

callmehannahbaker · 18/11/2017 02:57

I've looked online and can't find anything remotely like it looks wise-it's hard with a silky to touch slightly softer outer layer. Not silicone.

So like this then? ://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=28314
