I do also have a history of endo but sex itself isn't painful

Is the pain cramps or a pulled muscle in your abdomen perhaps?

I sometimes experience this - and nine times out of ten, my period arrives that night. It has something to do with oxytocin levels after an orgasm, apparently.

I don't get regular periods because of my method of contraception but I often get cramps followed by a mini period after sex, especially if it's been a bit vigorous
