How often do you have sex a week/ month

Hi was just wondering how often other people have sex and what you do and which sex toys you use etc. Who normally initiates and how do you get in the mood for sex .Been with husband very long time 28 years and have children together thank you

At the minute, we are going through our biggest dry spell ever so about once a fortnight Baby in bed, financial stress and over tiredness. Normally about 3 or 4 times a week.

Both late 40's been together 23 years. Twice a week usually. Dont use toys.

Toys very little- maybe 3-4x a year

Initiation- it's very equal although I'm more shy to make the first move but I still do it!

Dh has learned I'm more likely to be in the mood if all housework is 'done' and I'm just relaxing watching TV on the couch but he does contribute 50:50 to house

I'm 26 and it's once a week for us but less at the moment as I've got constant pregnancy nausea and this puts me off anything involving moment!

I have to make a really big effort to get in the mood, for some reason I had a really high libido in my teenage years but it plummeted when I got to about 21 I think I might have a bit of an aversion to being touched intimately, resulting from some bad sexual experiences before the libido dropped... wondering if therapy might be worth while at some point.

Mamushka, I had psychosexual therapy a long time ago and found it really helpful.

Currently have sex three or four times a week but was once a week or less for a long time.

That's interesting Rainbow, how did you find a therapist? Was it costly?

It was 15 years ago and I was referred through by GP on the NHS. There was more money in the NHS and I'm not sure it would be funded these days. You could try relate or your local GUM clinic or GP for recommendations? Mine was based in the sexual health department of my local hospital.

The NHS website says they don't fund sexual therapy It just has a couple of links to Relate website etc. From a quick online search I don't think there are any providers in my area.

Mamushaka. Have a look to see if you have something called 'healthy minds' in your area. They do a questionnaire with you over the phone & sometimes depending on severity give free sessions to relate. I've never used but friends have and have had 6 free sessions

DTD on average about 4/5 times per month - more if we are on holiday.

Life sometimes seems to get in the way which is kind of wrong really?

Once or twice a week. Been together for 7 years and I'm currently pregnant, longest we've gone without is probably 2 weeks when I've felt rough in my pregnancy. DH initiates it more than I do.

Hubby works away between 5-8weeks at a time...by the time he's back we're gagging for it, so 5-7 times a week, more if the children are out of the house. A little less for a while whilst we had sleeping issues with new baby. Use toys 80% of the time - rabbit, dual toys, clit stimulators mostly. Initiated mostly by him but I don't take much persuading.
