Not feeling "satisfied" with sex

Be gentle this is my first sex thread!

I am married and have been with dh for 16 years (I am 32) and so he is the only sexual partner I have ever had.

My problem is that even though I orgasm with sex or whatever I just feel a bit "oh ok" after. Just not satisfied with it . I do t understand what's wrong with me!.

As I say I have only ever had sex with dh so I'm really just looking for advice on whether or not this is normal

Having met your husband at 16, did you have time for, um, self-experiments? If that's not the case, then perhaps that would be worth a try.

Is the lack of satisfaction more of a "what, it's over already?" thing, or more of a "and that's this sex everyone is so crazy about?" thing?

Apparently there are women who always have multiple, but not to overwhelming orgasms, and I suppose having only one of those would be a bit disappointing.

But tbh I find it boring. Which is probably how I would describe general sex. It's pleasant but tbh I just get bored after a while .

Have you explored stuff together with your DH? He may be feeling the same & well up for different things too.

Do you ever get that deep satisfaction from masturbation?
How long is a session lasting? Are you getting enough foreplay?
I find that if I reach orgasm too quickly it's never as big as when I have had a longer build up to it, getting close then moving away. It builds up to a desperate need - I have to come now! They are the big satisfying orgasms.

Maybe you need a little more from your sex life, have you introduced toys? Or thought of this? Have you experimented with different possitions?

If you're getting bored you might need to add some variety. Do things differently or try different things. That could be anything from a different location, different position, change of clothing preference or lighting. Maybe look at using some toys, try teasing each other, sexting - anything that makes it a bit more of a thrill.
How good are you at communicating with each other about sex?

We have got some toys. Dh is into certain types of thing which he seems to find very satisfying (starting to wish I name changed). But I don't.

I would say we communicate ok about sex I think - I just wouldn't know what to communicate !

Sex isn't always a Harry met Sally moment, but I'm pretty sure you know this too. If masturbation is also a unfulfilling feeling have you had a deep think about what arouses and turns you on?

Is it more a case of it being similar to the relief you get from weeing or sneezing, than the 'OH MY GOD' earth-shattering shudderings we're all told we should be having?

If so, it could be that the chemistry between you and DP isn't great. Was it ever earth shattering?
