Yeah it doesn't work one of you has to be perpendicular to the other.

I thought spooning just meant cuddling the other person from behind - and sex isn't the point of it, most of the time.

If you are a bit higher up it can work but usually it does end up with either being bent at a right angle or flipping over onto the stomach with the man on top. I don't think it works satisfactorily otherwise.

You have to both be in an imaginary sitting position. Like two stacked chairs. Lift your leg over his hip to help penetration. Depending on the length of his body his face could be over your shoulder or down your back. DP is taller than me so it's nice. He's ahem, quite well endowed too, so maybe that makes things easier.

I've never been able to have sex standing up though. The angle just doesn't work for me.

You need a long knob to spoon properly.
