Sex and the coil

I had a coil before I had a baby which was great. Now that I've had a baby, my cervix is lower and I'm concerned that my OH will feel the strings

Sorry for gross question but does anyone have any experience of this?

I have had coil for about 4 yr's now, iv found certain positions they may feel the strings but most of the time not an issue.
They can cut the strings if you want but genral ly they say give it time.

My partner has never felt my strings. He is about average size so not sure if this matters.

I think the strings soften too over time. HTH

Ask the go to leave the strings longer until you go back for a check.

They get chance to settle and then they cut them so no sharp ends

My dh feels the strings of my coil sometimes, mainly when it was new. I've had the coil three times and find that after a while the strings sort of curl around your cervix rather than point straight down. When dh does feel them he says it's not off putting as such but that the touch the tip of his penis and he tends to come a little quicker. I shouldn't think it will be a biggie, and as far as 'side effects' of contraception go, it's a fairly insignificant trade-off.
