Noisy neighbours

Interested to get everyone’s take on this….

We have new neighbours (two doors down) who moved in a couple of weeks ago. Last night they had their bedroom window open and were having very loud sex for about an hour. We live on a straight Victorian terraced street, so sound carries very clearly!

My wife were having a conversation and initially found it quite funny. As it went on (and got louder) we were both massively turned on by listening, and started getting busy ourselves.

So we both felt a bit odd about this - Is it wrong to be turned on by this? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

It's November. Brrrrr. Did you have your windows open too? Confused

SignoraStronza · 09/11/2015 15:04

No, but I might have to crank up the stereo. Starting with a bit of NIN 'Closer'.

JamesTiberiusKirk · 09/11/2015 15:05

Yeah, it might be November but it wasn't very cold at all - our room usually gets quite warm so we had the window open. We could have had it sealed shut and still have heard them!

I hope they enjoyed hearing you as much as you enjoyed hearing them. Wink Feel a bit sorry for the next door neighbours between you though. Sad

JamesTiberiusKirk · 09/11/2015 15:54

Well, the guy in between (!) is away all week, so no problems there.

We found it exhilarating, but also felt a bit odd and bashful afterwards.

I think they were away in their own little world.

He chose a good week.....

JamesTiberiusKirk · 09/11/2015 17:17

If they are this loud regularly then he may wish he stayed away.

No one else find that kind of situation a turn on, or do people mostly just get annoyed?

Pfft, don't worry about it. If they don't want other people to get turned on by it, they should keep quiet. Enjoy the bonus, and be happy that you're getting fun rather than irritation out of it!

(Goes without saying, though: never say a word to them about it! I see it in roughly the same space as fantasising about someone - harmless fun as long as you never let them know!)

Flat I used to live in had very thin walls. If I closed the kitchen cupboards after 11 then next door one side used to complain. On the other side was a chap who was a bit of a player as there were at least three different individuals involved in his very active sex life. They each got a nickname

The religious one (OH GOD)

Tourettes girl (FFFUUUCCCKKK)

Monkey noises(Self explanatory)

Initially very funny but got really annoying as he kept me awake and I was dreading having the kids stay as I didn’t want to explain the funny noises.

I went to bed at 11 one night and as I climbed in I could hear him start but luckily I was called out to work. As I left my flat(his door was immediately to my right) I could literally hear bodies slapping. I got in at 1:30 and he was still at it. I was ever so glad to leave that flat.

Well op I think that you and your wife had an audio only porn show. I suppose couples watch porn to enhance their sex life, you guys listened to porn. Did you shut your windows whilst you did it? Or did the people in the street get a double whammy?

Pipbin · 09/11/2015 20:40

A male friend of mine shared a flat with a fellow chap. They were both young and single. They both went out one night and one guy met a girl and off they went. My friend later went home, assuming that his friend was home already.
Not long after he had gone to bed he heard rhythmic banging and started to get rather turned on by the idea that his friend was in bed with the young lady from earlier. As he had gone home alone he took care of this himself.

The next morning my friend gets up and asks his flat mate where the girl was that he heard having a good time with last night. 'Oh' he said 'I came home alone, I did put a load of washing on though.'

JamesTiberiusKirk · 09/11/2015 21:18

I must confess that we left the window open, but we didn't make as much noise. Smile

Bubble tree: this was much more visceral than porn, far more intense. Very unusual experience, hence the posting!

Well yeah, it was live!!

Eekaman · 09/11/2015 22:01

I actually went and knocked on a neighbours door once as I honestly thought she was being murdered. I was genuinely, seriously worried about her.

I know what sex sounds like, and this wasn't it. But apparently it was. :) Never, ever heard anything like it.

JamesTiberiusKirk · 10/11/2015 09:43

....and again last night, and more vocal, though not as long!

No monkey noises mercifully :-)

Stayed in a hotel a few weeks back and next door were at it for hours. She was soooo noisy. Yep it did turn me on but not my Mr. Blush Whatever floats your boat. Enjoy it.

justonesherryformedicinalpurpo · 12/11/2015 10:50

I sometimes the people downstairs doing it and the woman is VERY loud. However because I know what they look like and ppersonally find them very unattractive it just makes me wish for it to be over!

However sometimes a certainly programme may turn me on. Just a raunchy sex seen tbh so it doesn't surprised me that hearing your neighbours made you want to do it!

I'd rather do the same than sit there listening. I find the latter a bit awkward!

LineyReborn · 12/11/2015 10:57

Previous neighbours had strange sex noises. Well, you never heard him at all, and she just screamed. Sounds similar to Eekaman's neighbour, actually. Just an hour of pointless horrible screaming and then one special big scream at the end.

wellthatstornit · 22/11/2015 15:33

i am a very aural person during sex.....its noises, little moans, catches in their breath, dirty talk etc that really do it for me. With porn (which is essentially what it was for you, only live) some people are visual, and turned on by what they see, some are aural (turned on by what they hear) and so on.

doesnt sound weird at all to me...enjoy, and dont feel shy at all. if its the thougth that you invaded their privacy, or might feel a tad weird when you see them going about their daily lives that makes you feel uncomfortable, try experimenting with blindfold sex with a porn video playing in your bedroom (or wherever you fancy having sex), or talking dirty to each other, really low and very close to their ears, or starting off foreplay by reading pages of erotica from sexy novels to each other or from the website Literotica.
