DP is very quiet during sex. Anyone else's DP/DH the same?

My DP is in his early 20s. He was a nervous newbie in the bedroom when we first got together but has has improved a lot in that department. The issue I'm having is that he is very quiet while DTD. He barely moans or makes any noises at all even when he climaxes. I find a man's orgasm a big turn-on but with DP, he's so quiet that I often can't tell if he's had one until things just suddenly grind to a halt. I'm mostly the one who's making all the noise. I would enjoy it more if he gave some indication that he was getting close. I have only been with 2 guys before him and they were quite vocal in the bedroom. Anyone else have (or had) a quiet partner?

When you have kids, you always have to do it quietly unless you want to only ever have sex when the kids are away.

I find loud vocalisations bloody offputting TBH. My ex was loud and he wasn't a great lover.

My fella only ever really makes a noise when I give him oral and when he climaxes... even then it isn't exactly loud but then I'm loud enough for both of us

Yep quite quiet but I can tell when he's about to come/coming from how his body moves so doesn't bother me that he's quiet.

DH is pretty quiet but I am completely silent so don't mind/ prefer less noise.

OP, as has been said by ouryve, once kids are around, you'll be delighted he's quiet, and you won't get noise abatement orders imposed on you by miserable neighbours - seems like it's a win / win :)

I think a lot of it is what you get used to. He is pretty young so maybe his previous sessions were trying to silently have sex without his parents hearing, and he's still in that habit!

If you want him to make more noise, I find telling him that works best, or asking questions during the sex, e.g. "Do you like that?", "How does that feel" etc. Or just tell him "It really turns me on when I hear you moaning/gasping/saying "oh fuck yes""
