I briefly did the sex chat thing, but the wages are appalling. You'll be lucky to clear £5 for an hour, and I'm a very quick typist.
It's also pretty morally repugnant because you're basically leading blokes on with the idea that you're going to meet up with them at some point, then you're told to manufacture excuses as to why you can't meet them, but make sure they keep paying their money so they can keep talking to you.
I quit after being assigned a conversation with a young guy who clearly had learning difficulties who had been strung along for over 2 years, spending hundreds of pounds on this site :(
If it had just been one-on-one sex chat I'd have been fine with that but you just were randomly assigned to reply to a message string so it could be someone you never spoke to before, and you'd have to read the last few messages to get a flavour of what was going on. The actual dirty chat was really easy but it was so difficult to answer messages like "Hello gorgeous, how have you been today" - you had to check where the "profile" was that had been assigned that conversation, then quickly check what the weather was like there, in case you said something like "Oh I've been for a walk" and it had been pissing down there. Then you'd have to check if anyone had invented a career for the profile, before saying anything about work.
It was a massive ball-ache as well as being unethical and low paid.
Telephone chat can be more lucrative but you need to put a lot of hours in at first so as to build your reputation and that gets you more business. But obviously doesn't work if you've got other people in the house.
