Can you make money from sexting?

Grin

I know you can make money from talking dirty over the phone, was wondering if you could do the same by sexting?

After being on POF ( online dating ) for a short time I realise most meant want to talk dirty, last night whilst texting a man I suddenly wondered 'could I make money out of this?'

Well if not already provided, you could always start a business plan Grin

Yes, you get about 7p a message I think and it has to be done using a computer usually.

Yatalkin, it's very tempting, I haven't got a clue how to go about it though Grin. Was just thinking how easy it would be, could work from home and when I wanted.

Maybe it's a crazy idea?

There was a zombie thread about this that got reactivated recently. If I remember correctly, people on the thread who had done it said it was very low paid and even if you sent one text every minute then you'd still be well below minimum wage. Also all that typing can get quite uncomfortable apparently.

That's a shame, was hoping there would be money in it. I guess it's not quite the same as talking dirty over the phone (I'm not great on the phone ). I quite enjoyed last night though I was messaging someone I am quite attracted too, we exchanged some photos and talked dirty for a few hours.

I briefly did the sex chat thing, but the wages are appalling. You'll be lucky to clear £5 for an hour, and I'm a very quick typist.

It's also pretty morally repugnant because you're basically leading blokes on with the idea that you're going to meet up with them at some point, then you're told to manufacture excuses as to why you can't meet them, but make sure they keep paying their money so they can keep talking to you.

I quit after being assigned a conversation with a young guy who clearly had learning difficulties who had been strung along for over 2 years, spending hundreds of pounds on this site :(

If it had just been one-on-one sex chat I'd have been fine with that but you just were randomly assigned to reply to a message string so it could be someone you never spoke to before, and you'd have to read the last few messages to get a flavour of what was going on. The actual dirty chat was really easy but it was so difficult to answer messages like "Hello gorgeous, how have you been today" - you had to check where the "profile" was that had been assigned that conversation, then quickly check what the weather was like there, in case you said something like "Oh I've been for a walk" and it had been pissing down there. Then you'd have to check if anyone had invented a career for the profile, before saying anything about work.

It was a massive ball-ache as well as being unethical and low paid.

Telephone chat can be more lucrative but you need to put a lot of hours in at first so as to build your reputation and that gets you more business. But obviously doesn't work if you've got other people in the house.

Doesn't sound great then Sad, I prefer texting/typing as you can do it with the kids in the house plus I hate talking on the phone so would be no good at that.

I guess not many people are likely to pay for it when they can get it free by going on dating sites or forums.
