We are considering Millfield School for our daughter, who would join Sep 2011 as a boarder. Haven't yet visited. Does anyone have any experience of the school?

Thanks, JollyPirate and scaryteacher. I find it very upsetting when people suggest that parents who choose baording for their children are somehow taking the easy or the uncaring option. My DDs are my absolute priority and every decision made is agonised over. It is reassuring to know that there are people out there who understand the dilema and don't judge. Starting my day with a smile because of you both

Good - hope it's warmer with you than in Brussels - -13 when I went to pick up the cleaning lady this morning!

Know what you mean re: boarding; sometimes there isn't an option.

Only got down to -4 here during the day and that was cold enough. Warmed up lots now.

I spent 6 months in Brussels as an au pair when I was 18 and had a brilliant time. Are you enjoying it?

My daughter is there currently and has been experiencing constant and horrifying bullying in the sixth form. We have been battling with the school to try and find a solution but Millfield continue to do nothing. The abuse she has experienced is beyond words and we have been shocked and appalled at the schools response. If I had my time again, I would never have sent her there.

Did she join in the 6th form Mirriam? I am sorry to hear of her situation and hope you can find a resolution soon.
