Are there any formal or informal travel groups, chaperones, any organisation to travel from Islington or Dalston to Edmonton and then walking to the school and back.
My DC has good chance there and I wonder how safe the travel can be. Thank you

How far is it? Most secondary school pupils in London travel by tube or a combo of bus/tube/train as needed. A journey of up to an hour door to door each way is not unusual. How long would it take on the tube or train? If they are not used to using public transport in London, year 6 is a good time to practise. I doubt if many secondary pupils would want a chaperone tbh.

No chaperones but there will be plenty of kids travelling on a similar route. Lots get the Overland to Edmonton Green and then walk from there.

If you get a place, they will put you in touch with people who live near you so you can arrange travel buddies.
