My son is in Year 6 and we are wanting to apply for St Paul's and King's College Wimbledon. The dilemma is whether to go for 11+ or 13+ at these schools and if there is an advantage at either entry point in terms of receiving a successful offer?
He is currently in an 'all-though' school which takes him up to Sixth Form, so can stay there as long as needed.
It seems St Paul's offers significantly more places at 13+ than 11+, it would therefore seem that chances might be slightly better for 13+. King's on the other hand offers significantly more places at 11+ but one would expect more applicants as well with most junior schools finishing at Year 6.
Has anyone been through this process with these schools and would you say 11+ or 13+ might offer better chances of an offer?
