Harris Academy takeover, what are the SEND provisions like?

Has anyone had experience of Harris Academy SEND provisions?

My daughters school has just been taken over and I am very concerned that I have had no contact about her SEND needs. She is ADHD and ASD with PDA (demand avoidance) and anxiety. From the info we have been given the whole focus is on rules and consequences worded in a flowery way but a detention is a detention. The uniform is awful, ugly, cheep and a nightmare for a kid with sensory issues. This is not what we need heading into year 9. I am very worried my daughter will slide back into anxiety and be unable to attend. We are woking with the local authority but I had hoped she may have been able to cope better this year and had it remained her old school she may have.

Surely they haven't sacked the whole staff team, so they will still be aware?

We had a good time, SEN-wise, at primary with a Harris, much better than child #2's 'nurturing' primary.

We're not at a Harris secondary but there are loads round here and a couple have a really good rep on the SEND front. I'm not in general a huge fan of them conceptually but the individual flavour of each school can be quite different. Their requirements for reasonable adjustments still stand, even if the leadership has changed.
