GCSE remark if teacher says no?

My DD was 1 point off a higher grade in one of her GCSEs, but her teacher has said they don’t think it’s worth a review as they think the correct marks were awarded.

It’s not essential she gets a higher mark, it’s just that she had been predicted the higher grade (and hey, it’s soooo close!).

Should we bother or should we just take heed of the teacher’s advice?

My son was 2 marks off the next grade up in English language. His teacher looked at the paper and said it had been marked generously and she wasn't sure it even deserved the grade it was given. School then did a blanket remark on all papers in English and Maths that were 1 or 2 marks away. And... he went up a grade.

Oh that’s interesting. My DD was just one mark off the next grade in her MFL but her teacher said the same thing about it being generously marked already so we haven’t requested a review for that one!
