Any experience/thoughts on sixth form and girls football academy at the Piggott school, Reading?

Can anyone help with any info about 6th form at The Piggott School, in Wargrave, Reading?
My daughter was going to go to Blenheim High School in Epsom, Surrey, in Sept 2027 as it has a very good Chelsea sponsored girls football academy alongside A levels, but I have just found that the Piggott School does too. I don't think the the girls football academy at Piggott is as strong/competitve as the one at Blenheim, (which has 3 teams which compete in the National Football League), but the 6th form looks academically much stronger, and she'd like to go to Loughborough so would need A/A/B. Any experience/help/advice at all greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I'd go Piggott if AAB for Loughborough is the main thing. Their 2025 results were about a third A/A and two thirds A-B, so that's not a mad ask if she's a decent student.

Would still go and grill both of them about how much training actually clashes with lessons though, especially if she's doing sciences. A flash academy that eats chemistry time is a bit pointless if she needs the grades. Try to talk to current Y12/13 girls on it, not just the staff, and time the commute after training. Those days get long.

Thank you for your help! At Blenheim at least the training is all done in free periods, they work it all out which must be a nightmare but works, I assume it’s the same at Piggott but will check.
It’s true Piggott looks much better academically but then they are selective for 6th form on GCSE results whereas Blenheim isn’t so I wonder how much of a difference there really is. It’s hard to know. Blenheim got about 20% A-A.

Yeah that selection thing is a fair shout. Piggott's A-level pathway wants a Best 8 of 57 and a 4 in English and maths, so you're not comparing like with like against an open sixth form. Some of that 32% vs 20% is just who they let in.

I'd still ask both for last year's destinations, not just the headline grades. If she's got the GCSEs to get into Piggott, the extra stretch might be real. If logistics are going to be an issue, Blenheim’s offer of football in free periods might give you a more manageable week.
