Hi - has anyone moved within the London Consortium schools over the 11+ period - is it easier than coming in from state? In terms of references, do you have visibility of what the current school would say? We want to move schools within.

London Consortium Schools have no connection other than sharing an entrance exam at 11+. I would expect that it would be no easier to move schools within the consortium than to come from state school. The schools also differ on the academic standard required to be offered a place.

I also wouldn’t be too concerned about references. Most weight is placed on the performance in the exam.

Sorry I don’t know much about references. My dc were at state school so the school asked us to provide them with some info for the references mainly around extracurricular activities school might not know about (sport, music, drama, etc) and any awards or outstanding achievements. We didn’t see the reference.
