Anyone with experience of Chestnut Grove Academy language aptitude tests?

Has anyone had any experience of the type of test used for the Chestnut Grove Academy Language Aptitude test as part of their specialism admission places?

My daughter is keen to prep for the test as much as she can, but I want to find out a bit more about the kinds of questions that are included, so I can make sure she’s focussing on the right thing.

I know they test using a made up language, and on ability to spot gramatical patterns, but am hitting a blank on any more detail. Is it the same as the MLAT - elementary test?

If anyone has had kids prep for the test recently and can share their experience, it’d be a really big help!

Just saw your message. I'm a curious mum. My child is applying by way of the EHCP but did one of the specialists tests as the school said we could. I received the email yesterday that they did not receive over 40%. I wish I know how they calculated not that it makes a difference at this point. My child is not upset about it at all and said they did he test because I asked them and were concerned since primary has been so difficult - doing a special programme might have raised the bar too high. I am proud of them for doing the test and being honest.
