Best places for durable secondary school uniform and smart girls' shoes?

My daughter starts secondary school in September and I’m looking to buy her navy trousers and white shirts. Where is the best place to buy these. I’ve tried Asda for primary uniform but notice they seem to shrink a lot in the wash.

also, what shoes are girls wearing to secondary? My daughter’s school does not allow trainers that look like shoes. They have to be proper smart shoes.

This gets asked every year and the answer is that it’s very localised and regional, what’s “cool” in one area the kids wouldn’t be seen dead in elsewhere.

M&S and they have 20% off until the 6th. They also do lots of different cuts and fits, slim leg, plus size, long length, slim fit shirts etc

I have no idea about girls shoes in secondary

Clarks for shoes keep sensible (no Bunyan’s and corns at 11 please) till they are old enough to arm wrestle or buy their own!

My DD at that age wore Doc Martins, both patent boots and lace up shoes. They’re very durable and comfortable. In fact 4 years later they’re still going strong and she still wears them (tiny feet that refuse to grow).

DC are finishing Y9 and Y12. I have bought a lot of uniform in the last 13 years!
Next for uniform.
M&S for shoes.
Clarks are too expensive for the quality/to poor quality for the price.
If you want branded, fitted shoes, then Start Rite, but Clark’s are neither cheap or good quality.

M&S? aren’t they plastic!

Dts also started in DMs. Uniform was from a supplier so can’t help with that.

I have a boy, so not sure for girls, but we find M&S good.

No very much leather. Good quality and hard wearing too.

I like m&s for uniform and shoes
