Where can I find a larger box pleated school skirt?

We are trying to get a new skirt for DD for next term who has outgrown the largest size available in the skirt she has been using and many girls in her school too. The M&S stitch down box pleat in navy Girls' Permanent Pleats School Skirt (2-16 Yrs) | M&S which does to about 34 inch waist, she will need 36 or 38 now (medication she is on has a lot to do with that) and want one as close as possible. Seems odd being so particular about uniform but she is like that with all clothes. Familiarity.

We got a larger size which she didn't like as it had many and shallow pleats not just a few front and back. This style looks increasingly hard to find and the school allows any pleated navy skirt, but worth looking for a close match.

M&S

This one specifically says that it 'is 'generously sized' - but may be the one you have already found?

Thanks for link it does look lovely though notably different style. Just wondered if the same stitched box pleat style was actually available anywhere in bigger sizes.

My daughter wears the m&s navy skirts our local school shop for her school also stock something similar up to 38w could be worth trying specific school shops near to you but we’ve found getting the navy Is just harder generally than black for choice.

M&s used to make the more generous fit more room in waist etc we got my daughter them for a while in primary but not sure if they still do maybe worth asking in store

Thanks thats helpful, and guessing its the box pleated she wears. Interesting as we did find an online supplier with a school using a very similar skirt but say its specifically for that school (you need details about the child and presumably they check the area its being sent to). I can understand that for embroidered items but plain skirts are a bit different. Zeco have a similar skirt too but we may have to accept there is no true match at this size.

I was also going to say Trutex.

So good I posted it twice! Hope it’s ok and I stock for you. I was that person that didn’t fit a single piece of uniform and back in the 80s there was no such thing.
