Best areas near Guildford High School for families relocating from West London

Hi, I’m looking for advice on the most popular areas to live in for girls attending Guildford High School.

We are currently based in West London, and my daughter will start at GHS Senior School in September. I know many girls travel by train, including from areas such as Wimbledon/Guildford, but we are looking to relocate more locally.

Ideally, we would like an area with easy access to GHS by car or train, a good commute into London/the City, and ideally no more than around 25 minutes by train to Guildford. Our budget is around £1m, but we would love somewhere lively rather than a very quiet village — with sports, theatre, restaurants, cafés, and a nice family/community feel.

I know Guildford itself, but I may not want to live right in central Guildford, so I’d really appreciate recommendations for popular areas where GHS families tend to live.

why not search Mumsnet threads. This question has been asked a number of times before on here. The recommendations won’t have changed
