Are Maths assessments and tests done on tablets or paper at your school?

Just wondering this really - clearly much easier for marking if done on tablets, but challenging for kids to switch between the two? Or not?

Im thinking especially of year 7 children having their first Maths assessment - on paper or online in your experience?

And then GCSE years, when clearly exams are paper and they need to get used to that!!

I hate online maths.

I'm sure it has its place and helps marking etc but
. it made my DD very stressed
. for those not good at mental maths it discourages them from written interim steps
. it doesn't encourage showing working
. online tools for measuring were horrible

Maths assessments are done on paper at our school. Homework however is done on an app

Yes, but possibly depending on their specific 'options' subjects...

Ofqual: On-screen assessments could be introduced by 2030 https://share.google/3KTqpmEUroVQe6r5M

On-screen exams could be introduced by 2030 - Ofqual

Ofqual says exam boards can submit proposals for two on-screen specifications for lower entry subjects

Main tests are done once each term on paper but all homework and end of topic tests are done online. Maths is a pain to do online but it saves a lot of marking.

Paper. But homework done online.

Work in FE , functional skills maths and English can be done on either for exam. Assessments done on PC that self marks to get starting points. Most work in sesspaper based.
