I am awaiting our outcome so thought I would see how others have got on :)

We lost one and waiting to hear about the second - early next week. I'm just looking forward to knowing one way or the other!

The waiting is hard.

Is the letter with the outcome quite detailed or just to the point?

good luck 🤞🏼

It was very detailed, they listed all of the issues they took into account and explained the reasons why we hadn't succeeded.

Thanks, I just want to know now so we can get on with eveything. The rest of my son's classmates have known for 3 months which school they're going to so I'm glad we'll know one way or the other in the next few days. 🙏

We did 3 appeals, 2 were unsuccessful...we found out on Monday that we were successful in our first choice school appeal!

I honestly cannot believe, I had completely lost hope! I've still not quite accepted that it is really happening!

Doing the appeals was like going to back to uni - I spent what felt like weeks researching, writing, reading, rewriting. Such a rollercoaster but now worth it!!

Totally agree, the waiting and uncertainty for the children when all their friends know is so hard

Well done! You must be so relieved.

Were all 3 appeals the same? Or all unique? Did you have any indication or feeling with any of them on the day?

I have never worked so hard in my life. Like you say, the writing, rewriting, researching. It’s been a lot!

All quite different, our 3rd choice/preference school was a faith school so that was different. We had really strong faith evidence, but as we are catholics - not C of E, so that went against us.
The first choice and 2nd choice school are 'sister' schools, so there was a bit of overlap but some unique points.

I really couldn't believe it when I opened the email!! Such a huge relief!!!
