Please recommend a grey v-neck school jumper, that doesn't shed loads of flint

Not sure if this is the best subforum, or if I should ask elsewhere (parenting?).

My question is: can you recommend a decent grey v-neck school jumper, that doesn't shed loads of flint? I don't really care if it's cotton, synthetic or a blend (there is good quality synthetic and poor synthetic). Maybe synthetics shed less?

My child's new secondary school requires a grey v-neck jumper, but it can be unbranded and bought from anywhere.

The one from the school's official supplier feels like cardboard - the kind of crap you'd get from Temu.

We tried one from John Lewis and one from Clarks (both cotton-nylon blends): they feel nicer but shed tremendous amounts of lint. Even washing them inside out, even after 4 washes, they still shed more than a German shepherd! We had some black trousers in the load, and getting rid of all the lint is taking forever

I imagine I could try M&S, Sainsbury, Tesco, Asda, Next, but since this is something I can only test after washing (ie by then I can no longer return it), I'd love to get other people's thoughts.

Thanks!

Asda ones wash well and are long lasting. We’ve literally had 6 over the space of 2 years and I believe they come in a pack of two

The M&S standard school jumper is good. DC had those in grey.

Synthetic, but no shedding at all and very little bobbling, if any.

@stickygotstuck Thanks! Maybe yours got discontinued.
At M&S I now see a v-neck which is 100% cotton

@stample You mean this one?
90% cotton, 10% nylon

There is also this one, 60% cotton, 40% acrylic

i would wash them separately (alone not even with same color items) to prevent the other clothing from getting fibers.

Have a look for 'Magicfit' jumpers - they are 50:50 cotton / acrylic and I can't remember any 'shedding' issues when DD and DS2 had them.

(Was struggling to remember the actual name - could remember the logo on the label - but I have now had a look on the website of the supplier for DS2's old school).

We got a nice quality one from Uniqlo, a bit pricier but my one is in 6th form. Wool blend. Uniqlo is also good to get from Vinted
