Wirral 11+ changing from GL to Quest this year

Not relevant to me (thankfully done with the whole 11+ process forever) but I saw today that the Wirral exam this year will be from Quest Assessment, and not GL anymore. Seems less predictable (not as much of the "learn the method" questions like in VR) and will probably catch some people out.

That's interesting. Bexley are also moving from GL to Quest this year (having moved from CEM to GL only 3 years ago).

I’ve not heard of Quest, but a few grammars around me have moved from GL to FSCE 11+ ; the change was supposed to help ‘level the field’ (possibly as less familiar so less stringent tutoring, and as far as I’m aware no NVR and VR)

Yes, Liverpool Blue Coat used FSCE for a year before moving to CEM (2 phases - Insight, then Select) last year, after always writing their own test prior to these. Definitely more tutor-proof since anything can come up, greater focus on vocabulary, and very time pressured to measure speed as well as knowledge/method.
