Sixth Form Entry Sep 2026 - KGS or Tiffin Boys - For Girls

Hello there - I am keen to know if there are any other parents who have applied for KGS and Tiffin Boys Sixth Form for their DD to start in Sept 2026. My DD has a place at KGS and we have applied for Tiffin. MY DD is nervous about going to Tiffin (of course all dependent on grades and offer) and not sure if the School would suit her (I am wondering the same) and it'll help us to build a community on here with parents on same boat. We are thinking school culture + pastoral care + likeminded friends + school support + cost (although that's more my concern). Let me know if you are in same position and whether any parents from last year with DD went to Tiffin Boys and what their experience is of it!

Thank you!

Hi - I’d also be really interested to hear any recent experiences of girls joining Tiffin boys. My daughter has applied (for Sept 26) - obvs grades and offer dependent - and is weighing it up v staying where she is. Really interested to know more about school culture, how the girls find it, and particularly recent experiences of teaching in humanities and languages

I have a friend's daughter who recently joined and she has really enjoyed it, coming from a mixed comprehensive background. She talks a lot about the emphasis and variety in extra curriculars especially sport and the arts even where they don't have prior experience (she said the Tiffin Sport Instagram has more girls on it than boys). She also said there's over a 100 new students who join from loads of schools with most (she reckons about 3/4) being girls so no shortage of people in the same boat. She does Humanities and again seems to enjoy it so no qualms about teaching.

I'd love to learn more about the school community and how many clubs/ extra curricular opportunities there are. Also how the School integrates new students and girls.

Are the teachers approachable and offer support if needed?

Please do share if anyone has experiences around this. Thank you!

I’ve known lots of girls who have gone to Tiffin 6th form and they seem to fit in even better than external boys. Lots of girls from Tiffin Girls also try and make the move across! I know a friend who works in WHS and they have a big chunk of girls applying to Tiffin every year.

There is every extra curricular club you could dream of, and if this is a factor, you have a much higher chance of getting onto Oxbridge by attending Tiffin over a private sixth form.
