Hi There!!!
So we are planning to move down to Cornwall this summer, we’ve spent lots of time in and around wadebridge over the last few summers and just LOVE IT!! We are craving the easy going coastal life for our family!
It’s myself and my husband, we have 3 children (11, 9 and 6) so will need primary and secondary schools! We know nothing about schools in the area as we don’t really know anyone that lives locally! So looking for some advice and recommendations! 😍
also, would love some info for kids clubs/ activities as they currently do dance, rainbows & brownies, jujitsu, gym , swimming etc 🙌 they LOVE body boarding and are keen to surf!
we also will be looking for a rental property from the summer onwards if anyone has any advice on areas, or knows of anyone looking to rent out a property that would be amazing 🙌 it’s all very exciting and we cannot wait to join the community!!!

The easy going coastal life can be a real pita when they need work and money to pay rent. Good luck - we have a holiday house near Wadebridge and obviously the secondary there takes all local dc. No idea about primaries. I assume you have checked which have spaces and none of your dc will be applying at the standard time. So you need to check spaces and application process.

My only advice is don’t go anywhere near Bodmin, to live or for school.

Looking at Wadebridge (11-16) school, their GCSE results are below my local secondary modern. In my LA we have 13 grammars so the secondaries are not comprehensives. My local one, and I expect a few more, have better results at grade 5 and above, so Wadebridge must have a dearth of bright dc. It’s been rated good very recently though . Bodmin college has the local 6th form and that’s RI. Neither look great.
