Also following. My main questions are: will it be easy to get into as the old NBH was? Do they plan to improve the pretty dismal building and facilities and, critically, what have they done to improve the pretty poor behaviour and results of the old NBH. And do they still fleece parents with extras such as £300 laptop repairs.

I know they are over time becoming more selective, but exactly how this will be phased out I am unsure. I also understand they are completing substantial building work with the expectation that it is complete by the end of the summer.

following as I am interested to see how the nhb school will change once it becomes Alleyn’s. The new headteacher’s bio looks impressive!
One boy sat the 11+ few months back from our school and he said it was easier compared to the others he sat (MTS, St Albans, Aldenham, Belmont - he got offers from every school except for Belmont).
There’s a coffee morning in May, however I think once the full handover to Alleyn’s happens in September we will go back to see what they’ve done with the place as I understand the refurbishment isn’t finished yet.
I suspect to make a success of the new school they will really push the kids in order to get as good gcse and A level results as possible, because parents would want to know if it’s value for money or not?
