Alleyn’s interview questions and group activity

We’ve just heard our son has got an interview at Alleyns this Saturday following the recent 11+

Was wondering if anyone has any intel on the types of questions and group activities from previous years’ interviews?

I asked on the phone and she said they personalise each message so it takes most of the day. I'd prefer 8.30am & no personalisation!

These posts about other schools offering surprisingly early are not helping

@todayortomorrow I haven't see the posts re schools offering early! I thought I could relax for Feb until the actual day. Do you happen to remember which schools?

Sorry! There is an SW London private & grammar school 2026 thread and they are on there - Ibstock place and Epsom college sound like they took recipients by surprise.

Interesting thank you! We are SE so other than Alleyn's focused on the SE schools. Nothing early/unusual there as yet.

We're still waiting..

Still waiting on Alleyn's. I know four kids from our school and only one has had an email today (was this morning) and it was a no. The others are still waiting (including us!).

We've received offers from other schools this morning but really wish we'd find out either way - it's very distracting refreshing so much! fingers crossed..

Agreed us too, just want to know now. Would be ideal if that was before school collection but looks unlikely

Not us but friend just got an offer - email just arrived. We are still waiting.

We got waitlisted - not a bad outcome in the grand scheme of things. We were confused between alleyns and another which is closer to us and he has an offer from there although I personally have a slight preference for Alleyns.

We just heard. Our son got an offer but has not received an academic scholarship which may be a deal breaker for us. Good luck to all still waiting to hear.

Is Alleyns most people on here's top choice? Think we are pretty much decided on it and will release others

In case it is helpful for others, my DD received offers from JAGS yesteray at 9.30am and Alleyn’s today at 3.30pm.

From what I can see from 2025 Alevel results and number of Oxbridge offers, Alleyn’s seems to do slightly better, but both are very excellent in terms of academic results. We prefer Alleyn’s from what we saw at the open day, but just wonder what people’s views are on this?

We weighed it up and passed as we ultimately decided we couldn’t justify the cost. Going to Kingsdale instead.
